Pie Corbett's Storyteller Series

Pie Corbett’s Storyteller series comprises a teacher resource book with CD-ROM and an accompanying anthology of children’s stories. Each children’s book has an audio CD with stories read aloud.

The teacher resource book features:

• How to tell a story aloud.
• Activities for reading, drama and writing, including hot seating, ‘story behind the story’ and conscience alley.
• ‘About the story’, which explains the origins of the story and where the author came across it, showing that stories can come from anywhere!
• Hints for each story on how to link to other subjects – great for engaging children in stories.
• Flowcharts that break the story down into key component parts – providing the framework to the story.
• Guidance on how to tell each story aloud.
• ‘From telling to writing’ – explaining how to move from telling a story to writing one.
